Casie & Justin’s Romantic Love Story in a Gold Coast Beach Wedding Venue at An Island Hideaway
There is nothing quite as magical as a love story, especially when it’s your own. Sharing highlights from your romantic love story on your wedding day is a beautiful way to share the excitement and joy of the experience with the celebration.
Here is a seriously sweet love story from a pair of lovebirds, Casie and Justin, that took their love to a Gold Coast Beach Wedding Venue at An Island Hideaway. And this is how their love story goes.
Me and Justin met on a night out in Byron Bay. Justin was on a bucks night and I was on a girls weekend where we both happened to be staying in the same hotel and having drinks. I lost my phone and used Justin’s phone to call my phone so I could find it. This is how he got my number and asked me out on a date.
The proposal all happened when we went on a weekend trip to Byron Bay. We hopped up and went for a walk along the beach early morning. While we were walking along and doing some chit chat, he suddenly said, “I have something to ask you”. And just right when I answered him “what?”, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Without a doubt, I said “OMG! Yes!” Justin proposed and picked out an engagement ring with a white gold princess cut diamond ring from Michael Hill. I was so surprised and had no idea at all that he did a great job!
After the proposal happened, I did all the wedding planning. We have decided to have the wedding Venue Gold Coast at An Island Hideaway since we are both from the area. We picked this location because it is different and is almost like a destination without having to leave the country. It is unique and beautiful. I chose to have a yellow, grey and white themed wedding with a touch of bling to make it elegant.
I had two bridesmaids, my sister Amie who was my maid of honour and my best friend Josie as my bridesmaid, who each wore a one-shoulder yellow long dress paired with a bouquet of flowers in white and cream roses with lambs breath. My daughter Sienna and stepdaughter Chole were my flower girls. They were both lovely in their white tulle skirt dresses with a diamond bow around the waist.
My groom had 2 groomsmen, his brother Aaron who was “Beat Mane” and his friend Daniel as groomsman. They were so handsome in their grey suits matched with yellow ties, which we had made to match the same shade of the bridesmaid’s yellow dress.
The ceremony happened at An Island Hideaway in one perfect afternoon with the sun shining at an open-air chapel. The music “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, played a massive role in setting the mood and feel of our wedding day. I walked down the aisle feeling like a princess in my wedding gown made by Mia Solano holding a bouquet of pure white roses with lambs breath. My wedding gown was a massive white tulle sweeping ballgown skirt with a shiny beaded strapless bodice. I had a white veil with matching beads along the edge and with my flats on encrusted with diamonds on them and with my hair in a low bun where my vail was clipped on.
During the ceremony, we picked readings that we felt were relevant to us and what we valued. We had a butterfly release as part of our ceremony after our signing which was beautiful and symbolized the start of our new life. It was magic.
After our wedding ceremony, we had our indoor reception wherein we had 10 or more tables. Each table had a white table cloth with a candle and pearls scattered. We had yellow sashes on the chairs. On our break table, we had a fairy light backdrop with candles and pearls on the table as well. We prepared a buffet dinner for all of our guests with lots of champagne.
Cheesecake shop made our three-tier cake with white chocolate, caramel and chocolate all covered in white fondant with white fondant roses placed on each tier. We also had a large diamond-encrusted C&J on the top of the cake. The reception was even more fun as we were entertained by DJ Nik Nat. We had our first dance together as a married couple with the song “Sky Full of Stars”. All throughout the night, we had a mix of new and old songs to entertain our guests.
To show our gratitude for being with us on our special day, I made a bomboniere or favours. I made yellow swirly lollypops with a yellow ribbon tied around the stick and a sticker on the back saying thank you.
Our wedding celebration ended with a week-long tropical honeymoon in Crains two days after our wedding day.
Our experience with Gold Coast Beach Wedding Venue at An Island Hideaway was amazing! It was such a magical fairytale day that we both will never forget. Everything was perfect and we finished the day on such a high. All of our guests loved our wedding day and had lots of fun. I was able to relax and drink champagne while awaiting my groom that even the lead up to the wedding was so easy and stress-free where I had no worries about a thing which was fantastic! We both felt comfortable in all the decisions we made when it came to our celebrant, photographer and makeup artist who were all recommendations of the hideaway team they were all absolutely fantastic and our day went down without a hitch!
