An Island Hideaway's 2010 / 2011 Bride of the Year: Mrs Ange Bartley
It was Jaunary 22nd 2011 and Ange was marrying Luke - her best friend and soul mate who she had met at work three years ago...
Ange wasn't nervous, she was glowing. And at her final meeting with Michele her wedding coordinator at An Island Hideaway, Ange literally bounced through the doors - so excited that her special day was only just a few more sleeps.
It was a beautiful balmy day, the sun was high in the sky and the staff of An Island Hideaway were down with Luke and the boys meeting the guests. Luke was a tad nervous but nothing a cool beer wasn't going to fix. As we loaded the Groom his men and the guests onboard - we knew that the lovely bride was only minutes behind us - arriving to An Island Hideaway by luxury vessel.
An Island Hideaway I first saw the venue at the last weekend of Tipplers and knew that this was where I wanted to get married. 2 years later, my dream came true! Seriously!" - Ange
With a total Guest list of 49 and her bridal party - Ange's theme was Creams, browns & latte’s with a splash of dusty pink – Rustic Glam and AIH was drapped in beautiful latte lanterns lining the beachside chapel, the dance floor and the reception areas.
Nothing was ever a drama for Ange even in the planning stages she was just so cool calm and collected nothing ever phased her!
The moment had arrived and Ange was ready to be walked up the Aisle - her brother looped her arm as the warm breeze blew gently - letting her beautiful white gown blow as she made the steps to becoming Mrs Bartley.
With the "I do's" being said - the couple exited the beachside chapel to ring the victory bell as husband & wife before making their way to complete the formalities and signing of the register with celebrant Gary Taylor.
Up to the bali hut and half way for pre-dinner drinks & mouth watering canapes and the family shots in the glorious greenery at AIH. Ange and Luke were married and the party was about to start
Naomi V Photography or as we at An Island Hideaway say 'Na!' - captured the day beautifully as always. Taking the couple over to the Surf Side in our retro four wheel drive was such an amazing experience for Ange & Luke
"Shortly after the ceremony, signing and family photos, we were whisked away in the back of a 4x4 across to the iconic sand dunes of Stradbroke Island. The time away from everyone else in a such a beautiful place gave Luke and myself time to catch a breath and take in what had just occurred. Naomi took some amazing photos of a moment I’ll never forget"
The surfside of South Stradbroke Island is amazing. Lined with Sand Dunes as far as the eye can see and no-one else on the 23km beach certainly makes a picturesque backdrop.
Ange & Luke returned from the Surf Side where their friends, family & loved ones awaited the couple to enter as Husband & Wife. We all (including the staff) enjoyed Ange's wedding so much and we thank you for sharing you special day with us At An Island Hideaway.
We choose Ange because not only is she beautiful on the outside, she is beautiful on the inside. Ange has a very special aura about her - you feel at ease in her presence and she just loved loved loved being a bride. With so many beautiful and lovely brides it is hard to pick - but we just couldn't resist our little Angie Cramb! - An Island Hideaway
