Gold Coast Island Wedding – FAQ’s

Here at our Gold Coast Island Wedding venue, An Island Hideaway, we get asked a lot of questions regarding transporting your guests, accommodation and so forth, I thought I would answer them for you on this blog so you have a better idea of what to expect when getting married at our Gold Coast Island Wedding venue.

Question: Is there accommodation on the island?

Answer: There is only one place on the island that offers accommodation and that is Couran Cove. However the way that we work is by having all of your guests meet in the one place and travel together to and from the island this is why we have really great connections with our suppliers such as Mantra, Xanadu and Oscar on Main who offer you and your guests a special discount rate.

Question: Can the bride arrive before the guests?

Answer: Yes! You can choose to arrive to the island an hour and a half before the ceremony to have a practice down the aisle, relax and enjoy some champagne with your bridesmaids and of course slip into your amazing dress. There is also the option of making a grand entrance on a luxury catamaran, seaplane or helicopter.

Question: Does the bride get her hair and makeup done on the island?

Answer: No, we suggest that the bride and bridesmaids have their hair and makeup done on the mainland as they arrive an hour and a half before the ceremony starts. So once you arrive to the island all you have to do is put on your dress, then sit back and relax. Another reason why is so you don’t have to worry about transporting your hair and makeup artist back to the mainland.
