We were so very lucky to be the Australian Beach Weddings destination Deb and Joe chose for their big day…

Queensland and a beach wedding = a match made in heaven!

All the way from Auckland, New Zealand, this couple selected an Australian Beach Weddings destination to provide them with a unique backdrop to celebrate their marriage. It’s absolutely no hassle to organise your wedding whilst abroad! We aim to take the worry out of planning, giving more time to couples to enjoy the journey.

Deb and Joe chose to tie the knot on our perfect patch of sand with expansive views of the sea side behind them, a stunning backdrop for one of our recommended suppliers, Diana Wakeham. It was an intimate ceremony with the couple’s three beautiful children and eight nearest and dearest. The lovely celebrant Tarnya Bennett brought a lot of joy and a sense of calmness to the moment, allowing Deb and Joe to enjoy every moment.

Once the newly wed’s said their “I do’s”, we whisked them off for intimate photos . Situated on South Stradbroke Island, there is no shortage of picture-perfect beach backdrops! Bride and grooms also love the peaceful seclusion of the National Park.

Just before Deb and Joe were reunited with their guests, they made the most of the beautiful sunset. The light was warm and golden and gave a very romantic feel.

It was then time to enjoy the local cuisine! Guests enjoyed a gourmet BBQ buffet – a huge tradition in the Australian culture. The room was warm and inviting, just like Deb and Joe! The burlap runner with baby’s breath and tea light candles created an easy-going setting for the couple, together with their family, to celebrant the day!
