Gold Coast Wedding Reception Venue – Megan and Jye

Our Gold Coast Wedding Reception Venue, An Island Hideaway, is situated just 45 minutes from the heart of Surfers Paradise on a very unique and secluded four acre property on South Stradbroke Island.

Megan and Jye chose our Gold Coast Wedding Reception Venue as the perfect place to share their love story with their friends and family and become husband and wife. These two absolutely radiated love for each other right from the beginning of getting to know them. It’s safe to say that marriage was just the next step in the right direction for these love birds.

Megan travelled to An Island Hideaway with her three beautiful bridesmaids prior to the big moment so that she could slip into her dress and take in the serenity before all of the guests arrived.

Megan and Jye became husband and wife in our beach side chapel and signed their documents on our beach landing with all of their loved ones surrounding them. It was so beautiful to watch Mr and Mrs Barton become one.

Our Gold Coast Wedding Reception Venue was decorated with all of the gorgeous final touches that Megan chose. There was burlap runners to line the centre of the tables; and for the centrepieces there were miniature vintage wooden crates filled with jars of fresh flowers and tea light candles. Megan definitely had a fantastic vision for the rustic theme which came together magnificently and we had so much fun setting it up.

One of the stand-out moments from this wedding for all of the staff was the moment that Megan took to the stage and sang a very special song that she had wanted to sing to her husband all her life. I can hands down say I was not the only one with tears in my eyes! Watch the video here.
