Destination Wedding Gold Coast – Kristy & Stephen

On Friday 28 February, 2014 the lovely Kristy and Stephen celebrated their Destination Wedding Gold Coast at An Island Hideaway, located on South Stradbroke Island.

How do you and your guests get to an island for your Destination Wedding Gold Coast and who organises it?

An Island Hideaway will organise all of your transportation needs to South Stradbroke Island and back to the mainland of the Gold Coast, as well as many other details relating to your wedding day.

Stephen and his grooms men enjoyed a thrilling speedboat ride over to our island paradise on his wedding day – a very popular way to go for the guys. Otherwise there’s a helicopter, seaplane (for either the ladies or the gents), or for the adrenaline junkies there’s a fully enclosed jet boat that can zoom over to the ocean-side for some wave jumping before arriving to An Island Hideaway in style!

For the guests, there is a privately chartered vessel to take them from A to B via the calm Broadwater. In most of our wedding packages, the main guest vessel is a package inclusion, so there’s one less thing you have to think about. For more intimate weddings, we have a variety of vessels to choose from, depending on your guest numbers and your budget.

For the bride there are also a few different travel options. If you’re after something simple, you could choose a private water taxi to take you and your bridesmaids over to the island ahead of time to relax, enjoy some champagne and take in the surroundings before your groom and guests arrive. We have a comfortable, air-conditioned bridal change room for those last minute touches. Other transport options include a seaplane, helicopter, or luxury catamaran – all great choices.
