Sunday 4th March 2012 is Clean Up Australia Day

An Island Hideaway is hosting South Stradbroke Island's Clean Up Event

Getting There

Spirit of Gold Coast has kindly dontaed the luxury licensed catamaran to transfer volunteer's to & from An Island Hideaway - this means travel is Free of Charge.

Can anybody be apart of An Island Hideaway's Clean Up Team?

Anyone can be apart of the team as long as you contribute to the Clean Up! Children are welcome but all minors under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by a parent or gaurdian.

What Happens Once We Get to An Island Hideaway

An Island Hideaway will be coordinating the clean up area's, you will be supplied with gloves & bags and head out to target 'High Rubbish Area's' with AIH Team Captains. You will spend approximately 1 1/2 hours on the clean up before heading back to An Island Hideaway to relax & unwind.

What's The Cost?

The only costs involved will be $15.00 which is for the buffet lunch An Island Hideaway will be serving after the clean up has taken place. Proceeds of the lunch will be donated to Clean Up Australia and hopefully will go towards permenant bins being placed around South Stradbroke Island.

Of course if your thirsty, drinks will be available from the bar!

What To Bring

Remember to be Sunsmart - bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and appropriate clothing.

Approrpriate enclosed shoes will need to worn during the Clean Up.

You may also like to bring your swimmers & a towel to cool off afterwards in our Private Front Beach.

What Else Can We Do on the Day?

After the Clean Up has taken place, all volunteers will be directed back to An Island Hideaway to relax & unwind within our venue. We have live entertainment by Mr Jon Hippy Gold Coast's Own, who is kindly donating his entertainment for the day.

The buffet lunch will be open & feel free to take a dip at our Private Front Beach.

What Time Does The Event Start?

You will be required to register with An Island Hideaway and we will send you out all the details that you will require for the day.

We will depart at 9:00am from Mariner's Cove Marina and Arrive home at 4:00pm.
